Good news, AT&T Galaxy users! AT&T is apparently in an update-y mood, because just days after updating its Galaxy S5 to Android 4.4.4, it’s been revealed that the Galaxy S5 Active is being updated too. Unfortunately, this probably isn’t the updated that GS5 Active owners are hoping for.
Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Active support page shows that the AT&T-branded device is being updated to Android 4.4.4, software version G870AUCU1AOA1. The update includes Android 4.4.4 KitKat as well as some unspecified “improvements, bug fixes, and security updates.”
To check for this update, you can head into Settings and then go to More > About device > Software update > Check for updates. Sure, it’s kind of a bummer that it’s Android 4.4.4 and not Android 5.0, but it’s better than noting and it’ll whet your update appetite until that Lollipop upgrade does come along.
