The Apple shadow continues to loom over CES 2015. The Cupertino firm isn’t official at the Las Vegas show, but it’s still making news by releasing SIM-free iPhone 6 models, and now the rumor mill is spitting out Apple reports as well.

According to sources speaking to 9to5Mac, the Apple Watch is on track to launch in the U.S. by the end of March. It’s said that Apple is currently nearing the end of its work on the Apple Watch software and that it’s also prepping an “extensive” training program to get its retail employees familiar with the device. These training programs will reportedly take place in mid-February.

The Apple Watch was announced back in September 2014, but the only launch timing that was shared at that time was that the device would be released in “early 2015.” Since the announcement, Apple has reportedly been fine-tuning the Apple Watch software and its inductive charging functionality. As for why Apple hasn’t announced a firm launch date for the Apple Watch, it’s likely that the company wants to get all of its software and hardware finalized before committing to a release date.

Apple has said that the Apple Watch will start at $349, which is likely the price of the base Apple Watch Sport model. Apple will also offer a standard Apple Watch model and an 18 karat gold Apple Watch Edition version, both of which will likely cost a bit more than the Apple Watch Sport.
