Earlier this year, we saw Motorola introduce a 64GB version of its original Moto X after months of selling only 16GB and 32GB versions. Now it’s done the same with the Moto X (2nd Gen.)
A 64GB version of the Moto X (2nd Gen.) is now available for purchase through Motorola’s Moto Maker. Upgrading to 64GB of storage will cost you $100 more over the base 16GB model, and it’s worth noting that the 64GB storage option is only available with the Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition. If you do choose the 64GB Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition — boy, that’s a mouthful — you can expect to pay a base price of $599.99.
While many of today’s Android flagships offer microSD cards to give users additional storage, there are still some products that don’t. The Moto X (2nd Gen.) is one of them, and while 16GB or 32GB may be enough for some, there are likely many folks for whom that’s not the case because they like to carry a lot of entertainment with them at once. While a 64GB storage option isn’t quite the same as a microSD slot option, it’s certainly better than only having 16GB or 32GB options.
How much storage does your phone have? Do you have a microSD card slot inside of it?
