We saw a handful of metal-clad smartphones from Samsung in the latter half of 2014, two of which were the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. No U.S. carriers have announced plans to launch either of those phones, but if you’re really smitten by them, you can now grab either one in unlocked form.
Expansys-USA now offers both the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in white. Both models include dual-SIM support and LTE connectivity. The Galaxy A3 is priced at $329.99 and comes with 8GB of storage, while the Galaxy A5 has more storage (16GB) and a higher price tag ($409.99). The full spec rundowns for both phones look like this:

Obviously neither the Galaxy A3 nor the Galaxy A5 are particularly high-end phones, but they offer respectable feature sets for their unlocked price tags. Plus, the fact that their bodies are metal and are also fairly thin mean that buyers will get premium phones for non-premium price tags.
