The Jolla Tablet was pretty close to hitting its first stretch goal of $1.5 million in funding when it announced all three goals at the tail end of last month. Now it’s officially crossed the first one off of its list.
Jolla has now raised $1.5 million dollars in the Indiegogo funding campaign for its Sailfish OS-powered tablet. That means that the device will now include support for microSDHC cards up to 128GB in size when it launches in May 2015. The device was originally slated to support microSD cards up to 32GB in size.
While having any kind of microSD card slot is better than none at all, 32GB cards aren’t exactly capacious. Considering that the device ships with just 16GB of built-in storage, it’s no wonder that backers have quickly pushed the Jolla Tablet beyond its 128GB microSDHC support goal.
The next stretch goal is split-screen support at $1.75 million, followed by 3.5G wireless connectivity at $2.5 million.
