Heads up, Android users, because there’s a new version of the Google Play app rolling out now!
The latest version of Google Play is 5.1.11, and Google employee Kirill Grouchnikov today detailed some of the goodies that are found inside of the new version. Included is a full-height drawer, real-time card shadows on Android 5.0 and higher, improved scrolling and visuals in My Apps and a refreshed My Account page.
This updated version of the Google Play app looks nice so far. It seems smoother than before, though one downside is that the new slide-out navigation drawer covers up the hamburger menu’s transformation into an arrow. Oh well.
If you’d like to check for this update on your Android device, you can do so by opening up the Google Play app, going into Settings and then tapping on your build number. Alternatively, you can download the app from Droid-Life and sideload it.
