In addition to making Inbox by Gmail invitations available to all for a limited time today, the Google crew behind Inbox took to Reddit today to answer user questions in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.
There were a ton of questions asking of the three Inbox by Gmail team members, and the group gave some answers that shed light on what we can expect to see from Inbox in the future. In response to a question about adding a unified inbox for users with multiple accounts, the Inbox team said that the feature is something that’s “actively” being looked into.
In regards to tablet support, the Inbox team says that tablet support was one feature that they wanted to add at launch. However, their desire to have high-quality iOS and Android phone apps took priority. The good news is that tablet support is currently in the works.
As for Google Apps support, that’s a feature that the Inbox by Gmail team has sped up their work on in response to consumer demand.
Of course, the Inbox by Gmail team is working on many other features as well. Some of the features named by the Inbox team include “Undo Send” and cross-browser support.
Inbox by Gmail has several features that can help users more quickly burn through their messages and find relevant information. However, features like support for tablets and Google Apps accounts will increase the number of people that’ll get use out of Inbox and the number of devices that they can access the service on. Thankfully, we now know that many of the most-requested features are already in the works.
What features would you like to see added to Inbox by Gmail in the future?
