Later this month, Qualcomm is going to sell some super beefy Snapdragon 810 reference devices with super beefy price tags. The good news is that if you can wait a few months, you may be able to get a consumer device with its own 810 chipset.

A new leak claims to have revealed details on HTC’s next flagship Android smartphone. Said to be codenamed “Hima,”  not One (M9), the device will reportedly sport an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with four 2GHz cores and four 1.5GHz cores. The device will also reportedly offer a 5-inch 1920x1080 display, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, either a 13-megapixel or UltraPixel 4-megapixel front cam, 3GB of RAM, a 2840mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop running beneath HTC Sense 7.0.

Today’s report goes on to claim that the HTC Hima is already undergoing carrier testing and that when it launches, it’ll be sold by all major U.S. carriers. The Hima is rumored to be slated for a March 2015 launch.

All of this information is very much a rumor right now. However, HTC is one of the many manufacturers that’ve followed a yearly release cycle for its flagship phones, and so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see its One (M8) follow-up arrive one year after the One (M8)’s debut. As for those specs, the lack of a Quad HD display might be a disappointment for some, but its combination of a power-sipping Snapdragon 810 and 1080p screen could give it some impressive battery life.
