Happy Tuesday, Android fans! Google just posted a new version of Lollipop to AOSP and is already making factory images available.
Android 5.0.1 today hit the Android Open Source Project as build LRX22C. The good news is that if you’re feeling impatient, you can manually flash Android 5.0.1 on select Nexus devices right now. Google has posted Android 5.0.1 factory images for the Nexus 9, Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi and Nexus 10.
So what might be included in this Android 5.0.1 update? Those details are still light, but considering it’s an x.x.1 update, we’re likely looking at some minor tweaks. Here’s to hoping that because Google has already posted some Android 5.0.1 factory images, we’ll see some over the air updates arriving soon as well.
