Remember the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 that Samsung introduced in October? They aren’t the only members of the “Galaxy A” family, though, and this newer model looks to be the highest-end of the three.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 has made an appearance in TENAA, which is China’s version of the Federal Communications Commission. The A7 looks like a member of the Galaxy A family, sporting a physical home button, metal outer edge and a rear camera with a flash on its side.

Spec-wise, the Galaxy A7 is said to offer a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED display, 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. All of those features are packed into a frame that measures just 6.3mm thick.

The Android 4.4.4-powered Galaxy A7 that’s appeared in TENAA looks slated for a Chinese launch. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see it released in other locales as well, and with its big screen and thin body, the A7 could be a nice upper mid-range or lower high-end Android option.
