Less than a month after launching the ZTE ZMAX on T-Mobile, the folks at ZTE have another phablet coming to a different US operator.
The ZTE Grand X Max will arrive at Cricket stores and on Cricket’s website this Friday, October 10, for $199.99 without a commitment. The Grand X Max has a large 6-inch 1280x720 display and 1-megapixel camera on its face as well as an 8-megapixel shooter on its backside.
Crammed inside of the ZTE Grand X Max’s 0.31 in. (7.87mm) frame is a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM and a 3200mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0 support to help you juice your phone up fast.
Finally, the Grand X Max is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and also comes preloaded with Peel Smart Remote, an app that can control your home entertainment system or mobile device and can also offer personalized TV recommendations.
While the ZTE Grand Z Max’s 6-inch display might be a tad too large for some consumers, the device looks like an interesting option for fans of big phones that are also on prepaid. At just $200 off-contract, the Grand X Max could be a nice way to consolidate your phone and tablet into one device on the cheap.
