Over the weekend, AT&T announced a new promotion that doubled the data allotments of its high-end Mobile Share plans. Now Sprint has countered AT&T’s offer with a special deal of its own.
Sprint says that, starting today, new and existing customers on its top-tier Family Share Pack plans will see their data allotments grow significantly. Folks on the $130/32GB plan will be bumped up to 60GB, the $150/40GB plan will grow to 80GB and the $225/6GB plan will increase to 120GB. Those increased data allotments are double the size o the buckets that AT&T is offering.
This promo will run through October 31 and will be available online and in stores, but it sounds like existing customers will need to go in a store or call Sprint telesales to get their data allotment increase. Sprint also says that it will waive the monthly access fee of any lines on a 20GB or higher plan for customers that witch from another carrier and buy a device through Sprint Easy Pay or iPhone for Life.
Sprint’s also got a business promo kicking off this Friday, October 3. Sprint Business customers will get their data allotment doubled if they sign up for Sprint Business Share by October 31. These plans will offer 80GB for $135 per month, 120GB for $200, 160GB for $270 or 200GB for $330.
Sprint has said before that it plans to “double the data” of AT&T and Verizon, and today’s promo shows that it’s planning to stick to its word. If you’re a heavy data user and have some friends or family with similar appetites for megabytes, Sprint’s Family Share Plan may be worth looking into.
