Now that iOS 8 has officially rolled out to the public, many developers are pushing out major updates to their apps to take advantage of the new features included with the refreshed OS. Twitter is no different.
Twitter is now rolling out an update to the Twitter for iPhone app that brings with it support for iOS 8 notification interactions. This means that users will be able to Retweet, favorite, follow and perform other interactions directly from their Twitter for iPhone notifications.
In addition to the iOS 8 interactive notification support, Twitter has refreshed profile design. The new look places a user’s profile, including picture and bio, directly at the top of a profile page. You can then scroll down to access the user’s Tweet stream or tap tabs to jump to their photos or favorites.
Overall this looks like a pretty spiffy update to the official Twitter for iPhone app. There’s no word on when the refreshed profile page may make its way into Twitter’s other official apps, but there’s a chance that we could see it pushed to other platforms in the future.
