Heads up, Android developers, because there’s a new version of Google Play services rolling out.

Google Play services 6.1 is officially official, bringing a few notable tweaks with it. Those include:

• Analytics: Enhanced Ecommerce support in Google Tag Manager, which will allow developers to more easily update tags on mobile appsand measure impressions on their products.
• Drive: New Completion Events feature in Google Drive Android API. The new API lets you see which actions are committed to the service and get better response time to conflicts. Also included are Material Design elements in the File Picker UI, Recent and Starred views, a new setParents() method and the replacement of the Contents class for a more simple DriveContents class.
• Google Fit: A new version of the Google Fit Developer Preview that allows devs to test their fitness apps on any Android device.

Google Play services 6.1 will steadily roll out over the next several days, so you’ll want to keep an eye out if you’re an Android developer. Once it hits all devs, Google says that it’ll publish its documentation for the update and offer its SDK.
