Google caught some flak a few years ago when it dropped the return window for Android apps from 24 hours to 15 minutes, but today it’s been revealed that Android app shoppers have gotten some of that time back.
A Google Play support page has confirmed that when you buy an Android app or game, you can return it within 2 hours and receive a full refund. If you’d like to return an app and you’re within that 2-hour window, you can go open the Play Store, go to My Apps, select the app that you want to return and then hit “Refund.”
Obviously 2 hours isn’t quite as long as the old 24 hour return window, but it’s a heck of a lot longer than 15 minutes. It seems like this new 2-hour window strikes a happy medium between the old options, giving you a decent length of time to try out an app but not so much that you’d be able to fully utilize an app or finish a game and then return it.
Are you happy with this new 2-hour return window? Have you ever returned an app?
