The month of September is already bursting at the seams with mobile event goodness, but apparently the folks at BlackBerry thought that we could use one more shindig.
BlackBerry is hosting a “See the Bigger Picture” event on Sept. 24, with simultaneous gatherings planned for Toronto, London and Dubai. There’s no mention of exactly what BlackBerry is planning to show, but considering the title of the event and the fact that the BlackBerry Passport is expected to launch in September, it seems likely that the big ol’ Berry will be the topic of conversation.
The BlackBerry Passport is rumored to feature 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a physical keyboard that doubles as a trackpad and a 3450mAh battery. Oh, and there’s also that large 4.5-inch square display with a resolution of 1400x1400. With its big, square screen and touch-enabled keyboard, the Passport is looking like a pretty interesting handset, and not just for BlackBerry fans. Now we just have to wait a few weeks to see how the thing performs in real life.
