Just days after specs for the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 Compact leaked out, official-looking press images of the device have surfaced as well.
The images show a Sony Xperia-branded handset in white, orange, black and green colors. The supposed Xperia Z3 Compact looks like a shrunken version of that Xperia Z3 that’s been leaking lately, complete with an OmniBalance design and rounded edges.
Spec-wise, we’ve been told to expect the same 20.7-megapixel camera that we’ve seen in several recent Sony Xperia smartphones along with 3GB of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and a 4.6-inch or 4.7-inch 720p display. While some may lament the Compact’s lower-res screen, the rest of its specs are pretty nice, and it could be a respectable option for anyone in the market for a powerful and “small” Android smartphone.
Sony’s got an IFA press conference scheduled for later this week, and it’s expected that the Xperia Z3 Compact will make its official debut there.
