Several device makers are expected to have new wares to show off at IFA in Berlin next month, and Huawei is no different.
Images of what’s said to be the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 have leaked out online. The photos show the front and rear of a big ol’ phone with ultra-thin side bezels and Huawei branding at the bottom of its face. Around back is a square camera housing with flash and what looks to be an HTC One max-style fingerprint scanner.
Rumors have suggested that the Ascend Mate 7 could feature a 6-inch 1920x1080 display, down from the 6.1-incher found on the Ascend Mate and Mate2, as well as an octa-core Kirin 920 processor and 13-megapixel rear camera.
While Huawei hasn’t made any official announcements regarding the Ascend Mate 7, it has dropped several teasers about the device’s existence in video teasers. The newest one, which is embedded below, includes several references to the words “7” and “Mate” and also includes what looks to be a reference to a fingerprint reader at the end.
So what do you think of this Huawei Ascend Mate 7? Does it look like an Android phone that you’d like to have in your (hopefully over-sized) pocket?
