Verizon XLTE expands to a handful of new markets

Good news, Verizon customers! Your carrier announced today that it’s expanded its XLTE coverage to 14 new markets across the U.S. Those new markets are:

  • Gadsden, Ala.
  • Mason City, Iowa
  • Albany, Ga.
  • Gainesville, Ga.
  • Rome, Ga.
  • Valdosta, Ga.
  • Winona, Minn.
  • Jackson, Mo.
  • Great Falls, Mont.
  • Hickory-Lenoir, N.C.
  • Pendleton, Ore.
  • Midland, Texas
  • Odessa, Texas
  • Sheboygan, Wis.

Verizon originally launched its XLTE service in May 2014, promising faster peak data speeds for customers with hardware that supported it. The big red carrier says that more than 350 of its 500-plus LTE markets now have XLTE access.
