The first week of September just got a bit busier. We’ve already got Samsung’s “Note the date” event on Sept. 3, and now Microsoft says that it’s got something to show us one day later.
Microsoft is sending invitations for an event on September 4 in Berlin, Germany, where the annual IFA conference will be held days later. The invitation asks if we’re “Ready for more?” with a camera housing replacing the “o” in “more.” The invitation also asks us to join Microsoft “for more face time.”
So what do the folks from Redmond have planned? Well, the camera housing the “more” looks similar to that unannounced Nokia device that leaked at the beginning of June, so it’s possible that the Lumia 830 could be making the trip to Berlin. Then we’ve got the “Join us for more face time” tease, which is likely a reference to the Lumia 730, aka the “selfie” phone with a 5-megapixel front camera.
As usual, you can bet that PhoneDog will be bringing you all of the news from Berlin as it happens, so keep it locked here for more!
