Following its announcement in Barcelona in late February, it appears that the HTC Desire 816 decided to spend some quality time overseas before making the trek to the U.S. That European vacay is coming to an end soon, though, because the Desire 816 is making its way stateside later this week.
The HTC Desire 816 will officially launch on Virgin Mobile tomorrow, August 12, with an off-contract price of $299. Curious what kind of specs a near-$300 phone packs? Wonder no more:
If you’re not down with VM, don’t fret, because HTC plans to sell both the Desire 816 and Desire 610 (shown directly above) through its website as well. The Desire 610 boasts a 4.7-inch 960x540 display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 2040mAh battery. It's also rocking Android 4.4 and HTC Sense 6.0.
Details on HTC's sales plans for these Desires are still light, but I’ll be sure to update you when more info comes to light. Until then, you can check out PhoneDog’s video review of the international HTC Desire 816 below!
