The hype train for Motorola’s next smartphone has been running for a few months now, but today it’s gotten a new injection of fuel thanks to a leaked photo.

The folks at Android Central today received a photo of a box labeled “Motorola Mobility XT1096.” Below that we can see that the device is “owned by Verizon Wireless,” so whatever the XT1096 is, it’ll be sold by Verizon.

Exactly what this Motorola XT1096 is a mystery for now. The Moto X successor is expected to debut sometime in the next month or two, so it’s certainly possible that there’s a Moto X+1 inside that plain white box.
