iOS fans have Sept. 9 to look forward to as that’s likely the date that Apple will unveil the new iPhone, but now Android fans have a September event of their own to get excited about.
Samsung is sending out invitations to an event that’s taking place Wednesday, Sept. 3. The Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event will simultaneously take place in Berlin, Beijing and New York City, with the shindig slated to kick off at 9 a.m. ET. The event will also be live streamed on the Samsung Mobile YouTube channel.
While Samsung didn’t come out and say precisely what it’s got planned for the show, it did encourage us to “Note the date!” and also drew a small Air Command app on its invitation. That suggests that a Galaxy Note device will be shown at the event. And considering that the past three Galaxy Note smartphones have debuted in late August or early September, it seems likely that this event will focus on the Galaxy Note 4.
As usual, you can bet that PhoneDog will be live on the ground at Samsung’s event. While we wait for Sept. 3 to roll around, why don’t you swing by the comments section and tell us what features you’d like to see included in Samsung’s next Note?
