Apparently Motorola really, really wants you to buy an unlocked and customized Moto X.
Less than a week after its last Moto X promotion, Motorola announced today that it’s now running a “Back to School” sale that offers discounts on no-contract, Moto Maker-ized Moto X. The 16GB model is available for $299, the 32GB model (including the Developer Editions) are $324.99 and the 64GB variant is $374.99. Motorola says that this sale will run through July 31.
There’s no question that the Moto X is getting a bit long in the tooth, with its first birthday being just a week out. It’s still a very capable handset, though, running a near-vanilla version of Android with useful software additions like Touchless Control and Active Display. Those goodies, coupled with the option of creating a customized Moto X that you can call your very own, make Motorola’s current flagship a solid option for anyone in the market for a new smartphone.
