Windows Phone is often criticized for its app selection, but Microsoft and Nokia are doing all they can to remedy that, including creating its own apps for the platform. Today the Redmond firm added another app to the Windows Phone catalog in the form of a video editor.
The new Video Tuner app allows Windows Phone users to edit their MP4 videos on the go, performing functions like trimming, cropping, rotating, flipping and changing the video speed. Users can also adjust exposure, saturation, volume level and even add a soundtrack to their clips.
Video Tuner is now available as a free download from the Windows Phone Store. The app weighs in at 40MB in size and requires Windows Phone 8.1.
Video Tuner may not be the first video editing app on the Windows Phone platform, but it’s still a welcome sight. It’s good to see Microsoft and Nokia continuing to flesh out Windows Phone’s app selection, especially with useful utilities like this free video editor.
