You know that saying “When it rains, it pours?” Well that definitely applies to iPhone 6 leaks as of late. Following leaks that claimed to show the iPhone 6’s 4.7-inch front panel in images and on video, a new report claims to have photos of the iPhone 6’s backside.
Feld & Volk, a company that says that it’s been working with other firms on spare Apple parts for six years, has shared images and video of what may be a silver backside of the iPhone 6. The part shows cutouts for the Lightning and headphone ports, Apple logo, volume buttons, SIM tray and power button, as well as a hole for the camera flash. We can also see the device’s antenna breaks.
MacRumors has also shared a couple of images of a purported iPhone 6 part that looks to have most of the same cutouts as the silver unit. However, this second part is a dark gray color.
These parts aren’t final production pieces because they’re missing things like a camera cutout and also have exposed mounting screw holes. However, it’s certainly possible that the backside of the iPhone 6 could look like this. Apple is known for switching up the design of the iPhone every two years, and so if it keeps up with that trend, we’re due for a new design this year.
This iPhone 6 design looks like a combination of the original iPhone and the iPhone 5/5s: its top and bottom portions are separate from the middle, but rather than being made of glass, those parts are metal. This is why those antenna breaks are on the backside, and it’s possible that Apple could use its logo as an antenna as well, like it does with the iPad.
What do you think of these leaked iPhone 6 parts? Will you be happy if the iPhone 6 ends up looking like this?
