We’ve seen a couple of pretty big iPhone 6 leaks in recent days: first, we got a peek at what may be the front panels of the black and white 4.7-inch model, and then a video surfaced that claimed to show the iPhone 6’s front panel alongside the iPhone 5s. Now a new report has popped up that may have information on when you’ll be able to stop looking at the iPhone 6 online and get one in your hands.
A “reliable source” has told MacRumors that the iPhone 6 will launch in September. It’s expected that the new iPhone will begin shipping from China in the latter half of August, with an announcement coming in the first half of September. Finally, a launch is likely to occur on a Friday in September.
This information is still unconfirmed, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it came true since it follows the previous couple of iPhone launches. The iPhone 5 was announced on September 12 and launched on September 21, while the iPhone 5s debuted on September 10 and launched on September 20. Taking that into consideration, it’s possible that we could see an iPhone 6 announcement during the second week of September, with a launch happening on September 19 or 26.
Are you thinking about picking up an iPhone 6 later this year? If so, do you think you’ll be interested in the 4.7-inch model or the larger 5.5-inch unit?
