Yesterday AT&T began pushing Android 4.4.2 to its version of the Samsung Galaxy S III, and now it looks like Verizon is starting to do the same.
Verizon has updated its Galaxy S III support page with details on the device’s KitKat update. There are quite a few enhancements included, such as expanded app support for Multi-Window and improved Wi-Fi connectivity. The full changelog is as follows:
KEY DEVICE ENHANCEMENTS
- Isis Wallet is now preloaded
- 2-second press of period key now inputs the Emoticon
- Lock Screen displays cover file in full view when music is playing
THE FOLLOWING ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED:
- Bluetooth connectivity with Motospeak updated
- Backup Assistant+ Contacts sync fails have been fixed and connectivity improved
- Dialer App connectivity has been improved
- Read only message sender (not entire message) when using Driving Mode Setting

- Call, Messaging, Google and Email Icon have been removed
- Camera Icon text size and position has been changed
KEYBOARD

- Help Tip now offers pop-up
- Access with a long-press on back key
- ‘Create Multi-Window Combination’ is now available

The updates look like they’ll be available starting tomorrow, June 20. In order to snag them manually, you can head into Menu > Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates.
