So far, there have been a couple of rumors that’ve suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will pack a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 display. Now those claims have gained more support, including a tidbit of info from Samsung itself.
A user agent profile (UAProf) for the Samsung SM-N910A has been discovered on Samsung’s website. The SM-N910A is expected to be the AT&T version of the Galaxy Note 4, and according to the UAProf, the device will sport a screen resolution of 2560x1440.
Meanwhile, Indian import tracking site Zauba has its own entry for the SM-N910A. The listing mentions that the N910A has a screen size of “5.7.”
Samsung has steadily increased the screen size of its Galaxy Note smartphones over time, moving from 5.3 inches on the original Note to 5.5 on the Note II and 5.7 on the Note 3. Samsung seems to have determined that 5.7 inches is as big as the Note phones should get for now, though, which makes sense because that size is nearing Galaxy Mega proportions.
The good news is that it appears as though Samsung will be upping the display resolution of the Note 4, a move that’ll help it compete with the likes of the LG G3 and its 5.5-inch 2560x1440 screen. And while there’s no word yet on the screen tech that’ll be used with the Note 4, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see a Super AMOLED panel included with the phablet.
