Just days after the T-Mobile-flavored Moto X began receiving its update to Android 4.4.3, it’s now time for another member of the Motorola family to taste the latest flavor of KitKat.
Motorola is now rolling the Android 4.4.3 update to the GSM Moto G, less than a week after it said it would push the new software to the U.S. and Brazilian Moto G variants. The changelog for the update is as follows:
According to xda-developers, the Moto G’s bump up to Android 4.4.3 comes in at 169MB in size. To manually check for the update on your own device, you can head into About phone > System updates > Download.
Google’s own Nexus hardware began receiving Android 4.4.3 last week, so it’s awesome to see Motorola continue its streak of offering prompt Android OS updates with this Moto G push. We’re still waiting for the Verizon and Boost Mobile versions of the Moto G to get their own taste of 4.4.3, so here’s to hoping that those updates get approved and rolled out in the near future.
