Well, that didn’t take long. Less than 24 hours after a photo of the red HTC One (M8) for Verizon leaked out, the device has been made officially official by Ol’ Red.
Verizon today revealed that starting on June 5, aka this Thursday, it will begin selling Glamour Red and Amber Gold versions of the HTC One (M8). The big red carrier is offering $100 off any smartphone priced $199.99 or higher for a limited time, so shoppers will be able to snag either of these new One (M8) models for $99.99 with a 2-year commitment.
It’s also worth noting that the Glamour Red model is a Verizon exclusive and will be available both online and in Verizon stores. Meanwhile, the Amber Gold unit will be available from Verizon’s website and “select authorized Verizon Wireless retailers.”
The Amber Gold HTC One (M8) has been available since the phone launched earlier this year, but that color was exclusive to Best Buy for a period of time. It’s nice to see that both it and the Glamour Red models are hitting Big Red’s shelves in just a couple of days, because having more color choices is always great, and the arrival of these 2 new hues will be made even better thanks to the promo that’ll knock their price to just $100 on-contract. I’d say that that’s a pretty good deal for a flashy new flagship smarpthone.
