Just a day after Google began pushing out an update to its Google Camera app for Android, the company has decided to update its Android Device Manager app as well.
Google today began rolling out an update to Android Device Manager that brings with it a major new feature: guest sign-in. This allows a person to temporarily sign in to Android Device Manager on another person’s device in order to locate their phone or tablet. Today’s ADM update also includes unspecified “bug fixes and performance improvements.”
Android Device Manager is a pretty handy tool that can help users locate, lock and wipe a device that’s been lost or stolen. The app is getting much better today with its guest sign-in feature, which could allow a user to locate his or her lost device more quickly by letting them sign in on another Android device rather than waiting until they have access to a computer.
