Late last month, Galaxy S 4 owners on Verizon finally began to sink their teeth into KitKat. Now it looks like its time for Verizon Galaxy Note 3 owners to get the same treat.
Owners of the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 are now reporting that the device’s update to Android 4.4.2 is now available through Samsung’s Kies update software as well as Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant. Neither Samsung nor Verizon have announced the update yet, so it’s not clear exactly what’s packed inside of it besides the usual KitKat goodies, such as white status bar icons.
It’s kind of a bummer that the Verizon Note 3’s update is currently only available through Samsung and Verizon’s upgrade software, which requires that users plug their phone into their computer to install KitKat. The good news is that the update is finally here, though, and hopefully the fact that the wired rollout has begun means that the over the air upgrade process will kick off soon.
