Samsung’s already got a couple of mobile brands to its name, including its Galaxy Android phones and ATIV Windows products. Today the company added another brand to its repertoire: Level.
Samsung Level is a family of headphones and speakers that Sammy describes as a group of “premium mobile audio products.” The Level suite of hardware includes the Level Over over-ear headphones, Level On on-ear headphones, Level In in-ear headphones and the Level Box Bluetooth speaker. As you can see above, each Level device will be available in both black and white color options. Samsung says that they’ll be available starting in mid-May.
Samsung has shown in the past that it’s not afraid to release all types of products to see what sticks. The original Galaxy Note is a good example of this, as is the recent string of Gear wearables that’ve come to market.
Now Samsung is branching out into the premium mobile audio market, and while we’ll have to wait until next month to see just how these Level devices perform, the fact that Samsung’s name is attached to them could certainly help to draw consumers’ attention to them over other, less mainstream brands.
