Yesterday, T-Mobile CEO John Legere revealed the existence of a 24kt gold-plated One (M8) by tweeting out a photo of the unit that HTC had given him. Samsung later responded by giving Legere a golden phone of its own.
Legere recently tweeted out a photo of a gold version of the Galaxy S5 given to him by Samsung. It’s difficult to make out much of the detail of the device in the photo, but the unit is definitely shiny like you’d expect a golden phone to be.
Samsung hasn’t made any official announcements regarding any real gold versions of the Galaxy S5, but just as with the golden One (M8), I wouldn’t be surprised if this device is produced in pretty limited quantities. After all, the gold One (M7) was valued at £2,750 ($4602 USD), so it’s not like these devices are cheap or in high consumer demand.
Which gold phone do you like more? The One (M8) or the Galaxy S5?
