PhoneDog’s Official Smartphone Rankings (OSR) completed week 109 with the HTC One (M8) holding steady at number one on both the People’s Choice rankings and Experts’ Choice list. Just like its predecessor, the HTC One (M7), the One (M8) flew to the top of the OSR upon its debut. As the year rolls on, which competing manufacturer will introduce the next big challenger to the charts?
MT PLEASANT, SC – April 10, 2014 – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) is the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts in their respective charts. Proving their devices are the gold standard, the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) maintained their one-two power ranking with the PhoneDog fans. The LG G2 jumped to third place this week, which sent the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 down to fourth. Rounding out the People’s top five selections was the Apple iPhone 5s.
Our mobile tech experts are also enjoying the new HTC One (M8). They kept the device at number one for a second consecutive week, followed by the Apple iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Separating from their tie last week, the Moto X finished in fourth place and the Nexus 5 came in fifth.
“The early dominance of the One (M8), the first of the big smartphones of 2014 to hit the charts, proves that innovation and upgrades are appreciated by the fans and mobile tech experts alike,” said Rebecca Atwood, Vice President of PhoneDog Media.
