Hey Apple fans, how does your calendar look from June 2 through June 6? If you've got plans, you'd better cancel 'em now, because Apple just announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will be taking place on those dates. The show will go down at Moscone West in San Francisco and will include more than 100 sessions, 1,000 Apple engineers and hands-on labs to help devs improve their apps.
Like this year's Google I/O, Apple says that tickets for WWDC 2014 will be issued at random. Anyone that'd like to attend the show in person can apply at the WWDC website anytime between now and April 7 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
WWDC is a big event for Apple, spanning several days and covering both its mobile and PC platforms. On the mobile side of things, WWDC is where Apple has first introduced the major new versions of iOS for the past several years, and so it's certainly possible that iOS 8 could make its debut there this year. Apple is rumored to be prepping a new Healthbook app for iOS 8 that focuses on fitness and health tracking. Other changes that may be in the works for iOS 8 include Notification Center tweaks, the end of Game Center and speed improvements.
