At this point, the new HTC One has leaked out so many times that we likely know just about everything that there is to know about the upcoming flagship device. One detail that's evaded us thus far, though, is exactly when HTC plans on putting its new handset up for sale. The good news for those of you eagerly anticipating the launch of the new One is that that mystery has been solved today thanks to U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse.
A release from Carphone Warehouse has surfaced that says that "the new HTC One (M8)" will launch in select stores on March 25, the same day that HTC is expected to introduce the device at events in New York and London. What's more, the document says that the phone will be available "just minutes after it is officially announced." That launch would put the new HTC One on shelves before its big rival, the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is slated to begin hitting shelves in April.
Obviously we'll have to wait until March 25 to get the full rundown on HTC's launch plans for its new One, including what it intends to do here in the U.S. The fact that at least some Carphone Warehouse stores will begin sales of the new One minutes after its announcement is pretty exciting news, though, especially for the more impatient among us. After being teased by several leaked images and videos in recent months, I'm sure that the last thing that folks interested in the new HTC One want to do is endure an even longer wait between the device's announcement and its launch.
