The LG G Pad 8.3 LTE is available from Verizon starting today, giving consumers another option for a smaller Android tablet with built-in cellular connectivity. Those folks that want a device on the opposite end of the size spectrum have a new device to check out today too, because Verizon is also offering the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro.
The Galaxy Note Pro features a 12.2-inch 2560x1600 display, making it one of the largest Android tablets on the market. This particular model also includes support for Verizon's 4G LTE network as well as HSPA connectivity of the 850/900/1900/2100MHz variety. That built-in cellular connectivity also means that the processor that's powering this Note Pro is a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip.
Outside of those cellular-related features, Verizon's Galaxy Note Pro is fairly similar to the Wi-Fi-only model that launched last month. That means that we're looking at 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, a microSD slot and a 9500mAh battery. The Note Pro comes preloaded with Android 4.4 KitKat running benath Samsung's custom My Magazine user interface.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is available now from Verizon for $849.99 without a commitment or $749.99 with a two-year contract. It may not be easy on the wallet, but with its ginormous high-res display and built-in LTE connectivity, that's not exactly a surprise either. That big ol' screen could make the Note Pro worth the splurge for some folks, though, including multitasking machines and digital artists that are drawn to its S Pen stylus.
