Motorola's been on such a roll with updates lately that the company should just change its name to Updaterola. Not only has Moto been busy updating the various versions of the Moto X and Moto G to Android 4.4.2, it's also been pushing fresh versions of its unique apps. Today we're getting more of the latter.
Motorola has released a new version of its Motorola Assist app that includes a handful of enhancements, such as support for drive mode audio issues when the device is connected to Bluetooth and a tweak that will no longer trigger the app's meeting mode when you're marked as "Available" during a meeting. Moto has also thrown in some unspecified bug fixes. Or as the company put it, "Bug fixes!"
As with Motorola's other unique apps, this Assist update is only available to the Moto X, Moto G and Verizon's most recent trio of Droid phones. The update has already made its way into the Play Store and has also appeared on my Moto X, so if you're rocking one of the compatible pieces of Moto kit, go ahead and check to see if you've got a fresh version of Motorola Assist waiting to be downloaded.
UPDATE: Looks like Assist isn't the only Motorola app being updated today. While checking for the Assist update on my Moto X, a new version of Motorola Active Display appeared as well. The Active Display update makes the app honor the device's system vibration settings and also includes some unspecified bug fixes. You can find the app in the Play Store right here.
