I told you that this was a big update! This new version of Hangouts is a complete refresh from the previous version, looking much more in line with iOS 7 and even sporting the new-look iOS 7 keyboard (finally!). And then there's the iPad optimizations and support for video messaging and calling, all of which are welcome additions. Overall, Hangouts 2.0 is a pretty significant update that makes the app much more attractive and useful, and it's good to see Google finally bring its messaging app up to date with iOS 7.
