Well that didn't take long. Shortly after a Polish retailer and Samsung's own Polish website prematurely outed a new device known as the Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7"), the slate has been made officially official. 

As its name suggests, the Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7") is an updated version of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 that debuted last year. This new unit features a 7-inch 1024x600 display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor, just like its predecessor, as well as a 2-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded upon with a microSD card. Powering the whole package is a combination of a 3600mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Samsung says that the Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7") will be available in both black and white and will also be offered in both Wi-Fi and 3G-enabled variants, with the latter model including support for 2G 850/900/1800/1900MHz and 3G 900/2100MHz. There's no mention of exactly when this updated 7-inch Tab3 will launch or how much it'll cost when it does, but considering its relatively entry-level feature set, I'm betting that it'll be a pretty affordable device.
