The year 2014 is nearly here, and everyone knows that one of the best ways to ring in the new year is by purchasing a shiny new tablet. Best Buy is ready to help you do just that today by slashing the price of Google's 16GB Nexus 7 to $199.99, which is a full $30 less than Google is currently asking for 7-inch slate in its own Play Store. The good stuff doesn't stop there, though, because Best Buy is also handing out free $25 Google Play credits with every Nexus 7 purchase.
Originally introduced in July, Asus and Google's Nexus 7 features a 7-inch 1920x1200 display and 1.2-megapixel shooter on its face, a 5-megapixel camera around back and a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor crammed inside of its body. Google's usual $229 asking price for that tablet-shaped package of components isn't a bad deal, but this Best Buy promo makes the Android 4.4-powered Nexus 7 pretty tough to resist, especially with the inclusion of a $25 Google Play credit that can be used to load the N7 up with apps and other content.
The Nexus 7 is in stock on Best Buy's website and ready to be added to your virtual cart. Shipping is free, and Best Buy says that orders usually leave its warehouse within one business day. If you'd prefer a slightly more brick-and-mortar buying experience, you can buy the Nexus 7 online and pick it up from a nearby store or go really old school and conduct your entire purchase at the Best Buy location. If you think that buying what many consider to be one of the best Android tablets on the market sounds like a good way to welcome 2014, you can hit up the Best Buy link below to get to started.
