In first place on the Expert’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 offers industry-leading specifications and an improved S Pen for input. MT PLEASANT, SC – October 31, 2013 – For 86 weeks, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has been the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. Last week, the HTC One continued its lead on the People’s Choice chart, garnering 332 votes. Despite a winning run on the People’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 remained ahead of the HTC One on the Expert’s Choice chart, obtaining 48 points. The newest member of the Galaxy Note family, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 offers new software features and compatibility with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 held the second place position on the People’s Choice chart for a third week with 289 votes, followed by the LG G2 with 79 votes. The Apple iPhone 5s obtained fourth place with 53 votes, while the Sony Xperia Z1 (unlocked) secured the fifth place spot with 34 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the HTC One remained in second place with 41 points, while the Apple iPhone 5s held the third place position with 40 points. In fourth place, the Samsung Galaxy S 4, obtaining 31 points. Rounding out the list in fifth place, the customizable Moto X with 18 points.
