Sprint customers interested in getting their tablet-ing done on the go will soon have another device to choose from. Sprint announced today that it plans to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 on Oct. 11 for a "special introductory price" of $49.99 with a two-year contract. The Tab 3 7.0 will only be available in white at first, but Sprint does promise that a Midnight Black model will hit its shelves in time for the holidays.
In exchange for their hard-earned Grant, Sprint customers will receive an Android 4.2-powered tablet with a 7-inch 1024x600 display and a 1.7GHz dual-core processor that's part of the Qualcomm MSM8930AB chipset. Since this is a cellular-capable slate, it includes support for Sprint's LTE network, and it's also got 3G/4G mobile hotspot support for up to 10 simultaneous Wi-Fi devices. Rounding out the Tab 3 7.0's spec sheet is 16GB storage, a microSD card slot, 4000mAh battery, a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The lone Android tablet currently on Sprint's virtual shelves is the 10-inch Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and that model is actually listed as "Out of Stock" right now, so it's good to see the Now Network adding the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 to its lineup.
