One of the images that's surfaced today shows the "About device" screen from a Samsung handset that's identified as the SM-N9005. A recent report from SamMobile claims that this is the 4G LTE-capable version of the Galaxy Note III that was recently spotted at the Global Certification Forum. The device is listed as running Android 4.3 build JSS15J, which is the software that was rolled out to the new Nexus 7 tablet at the end of July. A second screenshot shows the purported results of an AnTuTu benchmark test that the SM-N9005 underwent.

In addition to sharing these screenshots, @evleaks says that the Galaxy Note III could launch with a 1920x1080 display, 2.3GHz quad-core processor and 2.5GB RAM. The Galaxy Note III's stylus functionality is expected to be similar to what was found in the first two Galaxy Note smartphones.

While still all unconfirmed at this point, some of the specs mentioned in today's leak line up with ones that we've heard in the past. That includes a 1080p display, which is expected to be 5.68 inches in size, along with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This SM-9005's quad-core processor is different than the octa-core chipset that was mentioned in a previous report, but that's likely due to the fact that the last leak focused on the international SM-N900 that doesn't feature LTE support.

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Note III at its Unpacked 2013 Episode 2 event on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Once its official, the Note III will likely become one of Samsung's flagship smartphones for the following year.
