LG's steady trickle of G2 details leading up to the August 7 unveiling continues! Today the Life's Good crew sent out new press invitations for its upcoming event to Android Central and others, and LG has decided to include a teaser image of a tall device with rounded corners that's very likely the G2 itself. The mystery product also contains up and down arrows with a button in the middle, which if the previous G2 leaks are to be believed, are the phone's volume keys and sleep button.
Ever since it first announced its August 7 gathering, LG has been dropping little tidbits of information about its upcoming smartphone. The company has already confirmed that the device will be called the "G2" and that it'll be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
The rumor mill has been doing its part to reveal even more about the G2 ahead of its official announcement, with images and video of the device appearing online in recent weeks. In addition to the G2's already-confirmed Snapdragon 800 core, we've been told to expect a 5.2-inch 1080p display (with on-screen navigation buttons), a 13-megapixel rear camera, and 2GB RAM.
The G2 will be LG's flagship smartphone for 2013, and so far the device seems to be worthy of that distinction. Now we just have to wait until LG stops the teasing and actually releases the G2 so that we can put it to the test and see what it's like to actually use those rear-mounted volume and sleep keys. Stay tuned.
