Nokia is known for producing its products in several color options, offering devices like the Lumia 920 and Lumia 720 in hues like yellow, red, black, white, and cyan. The official list of color choices is slightly shorter with the company's new Lumia 1020, though, with just black, white, and yellow paint jobs being shown at its debut last week. If a newly-leaked render is to be believed, though, that list may soon be growing.
A new render posted by @evleaks shows an AT&T-branded Nokia Lumia 1020 in red, a color that neither AT&T nor Nokia has mentioned in relation to the new Windows Phone 8 device. There's no possible release date information attached to the image, just the words "A dream or .... ?"
This actually isn't the first time that a red version of the Lumia 1020 has leaked, as images of a red shell of the device surfaced back in early June when the phone was still known by the codename "EOS." Today's render looks similar to the official images that have been released by AT&T and Nokia, but one small difference is the My AT&T Live Tile, which has an orange background in all of the official renders but sports a red background in this leaked image.
AT&T began accepting pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1020 yesterday, and an official launch is slated to go down a little over a week from today on July 26. The big blue carrier has revealed a new Lumia 920 color after the device's initial announcement in the past, but because the window between the Lumia 1020's debut and release is so small, it'd be tough for AT&T to squeeze in a red Lumia 1020 announcement ahead of launch. If and when this red 1020 does become official, though, you can bet that I'll give you a heads-up.
