Hot on the heels of a rumor claiming that the HTC One mini will be hitting store shelves "by August," a new image of the device resting next to its larger sibling has made its way online. Engadget says that it received the image you see above from a "trusted source" that's in possession of the miniaturized smartphone. As expected, the One mini looks fairly similar to the flagship One, complete with the metal unibody frame. The One mini adds sports a plastic ring around its outer edge, though, giving it a bit more of a bezel than the One.

The source of today's leak also shared a few of the One mini's spec details. The front of the device is said to feature a 4.3-inch display, down from the 4.7-incher found on the One, and the camera around back is said to be capable of capturing full HD video capture and Zoes. A benchmark test shows that the One mini is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, and the software on the phone is said to be Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC's Sense overlay and the extras that it brings.

Along with the image and spec details, Engadget's report mentions that the One mini should be arriving sometime in the third quarter, which lines up with the "by August" rumor that surfaced earlier today. There's been no concrete information yet on which carriers could add the One mini to their lineups, but considering that the full-sized One will eventually be available on all four major U.S. carriers, there's certainly a chance that one of them will pick up the One mini as well.
