Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S III to gain Multi-Window and several other features with new update

Heads up, Verizon Galaxy S III owners, because there's a big update that'll soon be coming your way. Verizon today revealed a new update for its flavor of the Samsung Galaxy S III that weighs in at 129.1MB and will bump the device up to software version JZO54K.I535VRBMD3. The update is chock full of new feature goodness, packing in things like Multi-Window support, the ability to sync two devices and share content using S Beam Auto Share Shot and the Best Shot camera mode. Also included are a handful of bug fixes and a couple of preloaded apps.

Verizon hasn't issued a formal announcement for this update yet, so it's not yet clear exactly when it'll begin rolling out. This definitely looks like a meaty bundle of software, though, and all of the new features and fixes may even help Galaxy S III owners feel a little less jealous of their Galaxy S 4-toting friends. ADDITIONAL UPDATES INCLUDE:

Removed pop-up messages ‘Refreshing SIM Data’, ‘No SIM’ and ‘SD Card Inserted’
New message notification tone is no longer clipped
Devices remain in 4G mode without dropping to 3G when Hotspot is on
The Burst Shot setting is no longer the default setting in the Camera application
Consistent functionality of the Screen Time Out feature

Backspace button will no longer clear an entire sentence – only the intended word
Fixed an issue where web browsing would sometimes cause the device to reset
